Jan 22, 2024 – My review is limited as I only received this yesterday. So far it has been great! Setup was easy. Lots of buttons, so it looked confusing, but a couple of minutes with the user manual, it became child’s play. I’ve cooked a frozen pizza and some chicken strips. This thing is powerful. The air fry function really works well. It cooked the chicken in half the time at a lower heat setting than using the regular bake function. The food came out great. I am happy for now. I can’t attest to durability or longevity yet, of course. If it malfunctions or breaks in less than 4 years, I will be disappointed. I replaced my Oster oven with this one. I had the Oster for 6 years and going on strong, but it was old and full of hard-to-clean stains.

I’ve owned this oven for about 2-3 months. So far it’s been very good and it does pretty much everything that I want it to do. It’s even better than the Breville Oven that I owned. Here are the Pros:1. It heats up very fast for a desktop electric oven. It’s the fastest oven that I ever owned.2. Temperature prob can see current temperature and set what temp you want to stop at. You just set and do your things. This function is very useful and convenient such that it takes away the guessing and it will turn off at the exact temp you set at 1 deg increments. It roast perfect tri-tip as shown in picture. I set it at 137f.3. Can program multiple temp and cook time in sequence, ie. 450f for 5m then 375f for 20m. .4. Clock is defaulted to off, don’t have to keep changing the time whenever you have an outage.5. Nice big size.6. Comes with 2 racks, metal basket and roasting rack&pan.7. Very reasonable price.8. Preheating function will beep when desired temperature is reached. It’s defaulted on but I turned it off but can turn it on manually each time.9. There are more functions than you can imagine like being able to set different outputs(in %) in both the top vs the bottom heating element. So, it’s great for professional chefs. There are many YouTube videos & websites teaching you how to use it.Con:1. You are even able to adjust the convection fan speed, too bad the button is a shared function with WARM function and is cumbersome to use.2. There is an oil burning smell that has not completely gone away after 3 months.Overall, this is the best oven that I’ve owned so far; I rate this oven a 5!

First: I read the negative review regarding the difficulty of removing the basket. Regarding this, I did the same thing (I read directions second) not realizing that if you just pull out the basket from the unit, it takes the heavy “drip tray”, insulated cooking section with it. You need to release the lightweight basket from the drip tray compartment by pushing the release button on the handle. Easy peasy and light. Once you’ve shaken, click it back into the compartment and put back into the Brio. After months of seeing recipes, hearing friends rave about air fryers, I FINALLY decided to splurge! I’m kinda a kitchen “gadget nerd”, anything to help me cook better, faster, easier. (Honestly, I’m in my 50’s and have probably cooked less than 20 dishes in a regular oven in my entire life! Have been using pressure cookers, slow cookers for more than 30 years, have a low-pressure oven, etc.)The Nuwave Brio attracted me because it has a better, more consistant temperature monitor than most, and it’s been specializing in cooking appliances for more than 30 years. I chose the 6 qt because i wanted one large enough to cook an entire small chicken (I only cook for myself and my son), healthier meals. I’ve also missed OCCASSIONALLY (not part of my daily or regular diet, but something I enjoy) eating deep fried foods such as deep fried mozzarella sticks, fries, fish, mushrooms because in the last few years, those foods don’t agree with my digestive system at all.As soon as I got this yesterday, I had a “fried food fiesta”, and even cooked pork chops and homemade potato chips which my son gave a high score. Everything turned out great without ANY oil!! VERY easy to clean the unit. However, the unit does heat up, I highly recommend (as does the user manual) to use on your stovetop with the exhaust fan turned on.Very easy to clean, adjust time/temp and has a preheating mode, which is useful to get the unit to the proper temp before starting to cook.Very even cooking, crispy results when needed, even without ANY oil. Can also bake, roast, dehydrate. Large cooking area.Large enough to cook for more than a single person, single servings, etc.Cons:Pretty large, 12″ cube, but very nice looking if you have the space to keep on counter, not difficult to store otherwise. Size needed to cook for more than 1 person. The different wattage settings aren’t really clearly covered or why they’re needed, how to adjust cooking times/temps for different wattages. I’ve tried all 3. The 1800 and 1500 watt settings performed the best, however, I have a 30 year old condo, and those settings left the cord hot to the touch when I went to unplug. The 900 watt setting didn’t perform as well. The recipe book only includes 36 recipes. Other units come with recipe books with 80+ recipes.I would rather have a stackable rack to allow for larger batch cooking than a basket divider. It doesn’t have a “halfway” alarm to remind you to shake/flip as most units require.

I notice it cooks really fast, so in order not to burn on the bake setting I need to put it 25 degrees less and for a few minutes less. After learning this I have grown to love this oven. It is really convenient and spacious. It has two racks so I can bake up to two dozen cookies in it without a problem. So convenient especially when cooking with one rack at a time. Just set it and forget it, as it turns itself off when timer ends. If using two racks I normally switch trays from top to bottom and vice versa, 5 min before timer goes off, to get a more even bake.

i PURCHASED THIS NUWAVE UNIT FOR AN AIR FRYER. I have never used an airfryer and knew I wanted a unit that did more than air fry. So far I have air fried: frozen breaded chicken tenders, onion rings and french fries. The chicken taste the exact as deep fried. The onion rings were better then deep fried, but the french fries (crinkle cut) were missing the oil thought I did spritz with canola. The are better deep fried. I wanted cinnamon toast. Put the dial on 400 degrees added breadpress start and in less than 5 min from time I put bread in oven until it was GBD and the cinnamon sugar was melted. Let it cool to harden and perfect toast for dipping in cocoa. Tonight I am baking two pork loins, looking forward to the crispy exterior and juicy interior. NUWAVE was the first appliance to introduce what we now call air fry, they are a tried and trusted brand and I will never use a standard toaster oven again.

I just took this out of the box and I love it already. It has two racks which my other one did not, It has a broiler pan which my other one did not. It goes to 500 which my other one dit not. Instructions seem easier and it is whisper quiet which my other was not. And it hold a 9X12 pan which my other did not. I wrote this the day I got it. I have since used it numerable times and love, love, love it

Perfect size for everything I need. All the features work great and fits great on my counter. I would buy it again! Takes a while to figure it all out but the instructions are easy to follow

Just received this a few days ago and haven’t had any issues. Reheated steak with the broil option & it was great! Cooked salmon and it was good but will cook a little less time in future. Some complain about the learning of the ovens options but it’s no worry to me. So far I love it!
