I bought this product after mulling over so many options for True HEPA and H13 filter units. This one, while pricey, is not as expensive as other options ($500 – $900 and beyond). And basing my decision on the majority of positive reviews (on both Amazon and various external sites) on the Hathaspace HSP002 unit, I took a chance. The reason for me purchasing this item was because I have a child whose allergies are triggered by the slightest things that don’t bother the rest of my family. Pet dander (we’ve got two cats), pollen, dust, and whatnot – it it floats in the air, it’ll make him sneeze and cough.Out of the box, it looks fairly sleek and complements my living room furniture. Sure, it’s tall, but I’ve had a big HEPA device before, and so I’m not bothered by its size. Out of the box, I put in the large H13 filter that it came with, plugged it in and set it to auto so that it starts doing its job. I let it clean the air from morning to evening, and it (at auto), it just runs at the lowest setting. I’m very happy that it’s incredibly quiet at this setting as too much noise generated would be a big concern for the family. Even at medium speed, it’s fairly muffled. At the highest speed, you’ll notice it, but the sound is no louder than my ceiling fan at the fastest speed. Overall, it does a great job cleaning the air without too much noise. Also, I look at the device and it shows to fluctuate between a 6 and a 9 every single day (anything above 50 means you have relatively polluted air inside the house). Low numbers. After having this for a month, and running daily from morning to the evening, I have to say that simply put, it just works. How can I tell without hiring some microbial experts to sample my air quality? I look at my child and see how he’s doing. Since we’ve had the device, my child’s coughing and sneezing has gradually gone away in a matter of a week of the device doing its job. 4 weeks later, my son doesn’t show any signs of allergy suffering. Breathing is normal, no reactions when the pets are near him, no issues with pollen (we’ve got plenty of indoor plants).I am also aware that the filter has to be replaced every 3-4 months, depending on how often you have it run. I was prepared to shell out the money for the filter (on a recurring basis), so I went to the Hathaspace website and purchased a subscription (quarterly) for them to deliver. $49 per filter (subscription price), for those of you curious.Overall, I am very pleased and very happy with this purchase. It’s made a difference for my son, and that’s all that matters to me. If a device does what it’s supposed to do (and very effectively at that), then I’d say this purchase was well worth the money and then some.

I have been wanting to purchase an air purifier for years but the cost just didn’t fit in my budget. My husband is a heavy smoker and my house smelled terrible. Because of this, I knew the air quality was horrible. I finally bit the bullet when I saw this unit. It was reasonably priced and the subscribe option for replacement filters cuts the cost down. Upon receiving the unit, I ran it on max for 1 hour and was amazed by watching the numbers of air particulates fall quickly down. I love that there is a washable outer filter which helps a lot since I have birds and there are little fluffy down feathers everywhere. Now they are stuck to the removable filter. I love how quiet the purifier is and upon telling my neighbor about it, she had me order her one too. The only downside to this was that in less than one month, her unit cost $70 more than I paid. I wasn’t happy about this.

Just got this in a couple of days ago. I’ve been looking at air purifiers for several months and after the wife recently had a friend come clean the house, realized just how dusty our house had become.Living a few miles out of town in SW Oklahoma and it’s WAY dustier than when we lived in town. So anyway, after the cleaning gig, decided it was time to get serious about choosing a purifier to try.Of course, there are literally HUNDREDS of them on the market so I’ve read many, many reviews. I kept coming back to 2 or 3 and then I noticed that Amazon had this one on sale at, what seemed to me, an affordable price. So, with the sale price, the features listed, and favorable reviews I pulled the trigger on this one.Took just a few minutes to load the filters and get it going. It’s a nice looking machine and seems to be built well. Nothing really flimsy feeling about it. The front is lock-hinged at the top and uses magnets to close at the bottom, so that’s cool. The filters are quality feeling and fit well. Nothing cheap-o looking about them. The machine runs almost dead-silent on low speed. Noticeable sound on medium, and could probably be used as a white-noise fan-sound on high.Using the remote is easy and you can switch through the options of having the status-display on or off, turn on the Anion ionizer or not, set the timer if preferred, and set it to ‘sleep mode’. It also has an ‘auto mode’ for adapting to the air quality it senses by increasing or decreasing the fan speed on its own.I’ve initially set it to low speed with the ionizer on, and that’s where I’ve left it.The wife asked me, “How do we tell if it’s working?”…………Ha, good question. I told her, “Well, I don’t know, maybe we’ll see less dust in the house at some point (with a shoulder shrug)”.So anyway, fast forward a couple of days and she remarked, “You know I was cutting onions for our soup (she is cooking ALL the time) and threw the onions in the trash, and normally they stink up the house, but got up the next day and couldn’t smell them at all”.I got to thinking about it and she was right. No onion smell at all in the house. So maybe that’s a clue that it IS working. So I’ve got it sitting in the main area of the house, which is the living room/dining room/kitchen combined. Probably about 600 sq. ft.My plans are to have several of them throughout the house, maybe like one in each bedroom and so forth.I have since found out, through searching, that the same model can be found on auction sites and other ‘for sale’ sites in various conditions such as ‘used’, ‘refurbed’, ‘open box’, etc………and many can be found for half the price or less, which considering, is a GREAT deal.So with that I’ve ordered 2 more and can’t wait to get them all in and going.Recapping; I think it’s a great looking unit. I looked at another unit that was similar in size but watching the video it really looked cheap whereas this one does not. I like the fact that it has an ionizer and I can opt to turn it off if I want to. I like the other options of a timer and the sleep mode if I need it. And it does have an ‘auto’ mode that works off of a sensor to automatically change fan speeds as it sees fit by testing the air.About the only knocks I could give it are the status display is a little much, especially at night time. However, if you turn it off and the unit is on low speed then you really can’t even tell that it’s on and working. That happened to us, I turned the display off and wifey wanted to know why I had shut the machine off. So………It’d be nice if the company offered a simple green light to let you know it’s on if you didn’t want to see the status. The other knock would be that a lot of other machines out there have a washable pre-filter whereas this one does not. Is it a big deal? Can’t really tell for now.I’ll update this several months down the line when it’s time to change filters.

We live on a VERY dusty gravel road. We couldn’t figure out where all the dust came from inside our house for awhile after we moved here. We also noticed we woke up with uncomfortable stuffy noses almost every day. Once we realized the white, powdery dust on every surface was from the road, we knew we needed better air quality fast!We ordered this machine and it was delivered promptly. The set up was SUPER simple and soon it was busy cleaning our air. Before turning it on for the 1st time, I dusted all our furniture and glass surfaces … One week into usage, and I still have not needed to dust again (it was a daily or every-other-day necessity before the purifier was added)! Not to say there is ZERO dust on the furniture; but it is a small amount and nothing like it was without the machine. We have also noticed cooking smells are eliminated in just a few of minutes. We keep our unit on “Auto” so it senses the cooking odors, runs on medium or high until they are removed from the air, then returns to it’s normal “low” operation. Our dogs sometimes run into the house smelling like sweaty dogs, and this purifier takes care of that in seconds! An added bonus is this filtering system seems to have removed allergens inside our home to the level where my husband’s very sensitive allergies are not triggered! That’s amazing to us! He uses much less allergy medicine now, and basically has to go outside to trigger an allergic reaction! As far as “noise” – we don’t notice the very quiet, soothing hum of the unit unless it is filtering out sudden, dirty air – like when I cook hamburgers inside. You will notice the fan whirs moderately loudly while it cycles the offending air, then it returns to whisper-soft operation. (We keep the unit set on “Auto”, so we don’t have to manually control the fans/purification. It senses the air isn’t clean and “power cleans” until the levels are back in the cleanest level. We are amazed by this machine and the almost immediate difference it has made in our home. Our air smells fresh and clean and feels “softer” – that’s the only way to explain it. This machine is a substantial investment, so we hope knowing our experience helps you decide if it is what you need. We were so impressed, we bought the smaller unit for our bedroom and have had the same experience with it – but never even hear that fan at all, even when in “high filtering” mode (to be fair, it is about 1/3 the size of the large unit). Also, the “sleep” mode keeps it quiet while you sleep and there is a light control button to turn off the lights on the display when you sleep. We don’t even notice it is in our bedroom and we wake up with MUCH less sinus congestion! Recommend highly and would not hesitate to buy again.

I have terrible allergies and I got this purifier to help me with my allergies! I love that it has a filter that filters out just about everything! Once my husband was burning leaves outside and the wind shifted and the smoke blew towards our house and started coming into the house and the purifier cleaned the smoke out of the air fast! So you can really see it work! The only thing I’ve noticed that doesn’t work that good is the air quality monitor. It always bounces back and forth between 7 and 9. Doesn’t seem to react to pollen, pet dander, dust or possibly mold. But it does register VOC’s! If it picks up a any smell, air freshener, smoke, or the VOC’s from using the stove and oven the air quality monitor goes way up! But other than VOC’s it stays at 7 and 9. But I don’t mind that. It works great and I just keep it set on speed 4 instead of using the manual setting because I want to make sure it’s circulating the air constantly to help with my allergies so it does what I need it to. Would be nice to know the air quality for dust, pollen, dogs, and mold just to know what’s in the air throughout the day, but as long as I know it’s cleaning the air, that’s what’s important for me! And it’s amazing how it picks up VOC levels! I never knew ovens created so much VOC’s! I would definitely purchase this again. I love that it cleans large areas instead of just a small room. I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit and it was the best one for the price. If you research the square footage air purifiers cover, the CADR rating, the actual number for the air quality sensor, how many times it circulates air in the room, the warranty, the price, how much the filters cost to replace, how often you have to replace the filters, and what the filters clean out of the air, you can see that this unit is the best overall air purifier for the price. I researched most of the top brands before getting this one! The 5 stage filtration on the filters, and the medical grade hepa filter was a big reason why I got this one. It filters everything from pollen, pet dander, VOC’s, and viruses. I also didn’t trust one that emits ozone because there’s conflicting info on whether ozone is safe or not. And this one doesn’t emit ozone! Other brands I looked at were Germ Guardian, Levoit, Blue Air, Honeywell, Breath Smart, Nuwave, Sharp, Medfy, AirMega, Winix, Austin Air, Oransi, Air Doctor, Ren Pho, and Rabbit Air and Alen and this beat all of them when I compared the square footage, CADR rating, price, air quality sensor, how often air circulates the room, price of filter and how often you change the filter and the warranty. I also researched the Amazon reviews on all the purifiers and chose this one! So if you are looking into air purifiers ignore what companies say about their purifiers. Do the research and compare the above things like I did! Especially pay attention to the square footage and get one that covers the square footage you need for your home! But you can’t go wrong with this one! Its a working machine and does great at keeping your air clean!

Very good air purifier. Does it’s job well and efficiently. Works well on VOCs, I can attest to that. Noise levels of operation are low and accepatable; much quieter than my kitchen extractor. Recommend.

The positive reviews for Hathaspace’s other (smaller) air purifiers led us to believe they may be doing something right in the industry. We had intended to order one of the smaller units, but when we learned they had recently released this larger HSP002 model, we knew we had to try it. We wanted the extra capacity to purify the whole house, rather than just our bedroom. We could NOT be happier with the decision we made. The amount of air this thing can move is nothing short of impressive. And the quieter night mode is so silent you can barely tell it’s running with your head right next to it. The way this thing detects impurities in the air is also very impressive. If you even set a dirty laundry basket next to it, the sensors will detect impurities and ramp up the fans in “auto” mode. We have also experimented with putting this in our cat’s litter box room to see if it rids smells with positive results. The very large filter is thick and heavy, suggesting quite a bit of technology and quality are packed inside. And the washable pre-filter is a great piece to help lengthen the life of the somewhat pricey replaceable filter that Hathaspace recommends you service every 3 months. The only thing I would make as a suggestion to the manufacturer is to do with the lights on the machine itself. I was thrilled when I saw that one of the control buttons on the top panel was for the light. Thinking this would enable me to turn of all the lights on the machine’s display for dark nights when it is running in our bedroom. Sadly that button only turns off the air quality light on the front of the machine that changes from green to blue to red – indicating the air quality around the machine. That’s basically useless at night, because the display panel on top of the machine is the brightest / most annoying light source on the machine. It lights up our entire bedroom and is impossible to ignore. We have taken to placing a folded hand towel on top of the machine when we go to bed to block out the light, which works just fine because the top panel is perfectly flat so the towel doesn’t slide off. If the light button would allow you to cycle the control panel illumination on/off as well as the air quality indicator, this would be an 11/10 product for me. But I still don’t feel this justifies knocking a star off this review. The machine itself is working wonders in our home.If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, high-volume, & high quality air purifier for your home; I would definitely recommend looking into the Hathaspace HSP002

I’m absolutely delighted with my HATHASPACE Smart Air Purifiers. As a pet owner with a German Shepherd, a Great Dane, and a cat, you can imagine the kind of air purification challenges I face. But since bringing not one, but two of these units into my home, the air has never felt cleaner.Setting up the HATHASPACE purifiers was a breeze. Right out of the box, they were ready to tackle the pet dander, odors, and general particulates that come with having large pets. The ease of use is outstanding; it was practically a ‘set it and forget it’ experience, which is exactly what I need in my busy life.I’ve noticed a significant reduction in dust and pet hair around the house, and the odors that used to be a constant battle are now a thing of the past. The true HEPA filtration system works wonders, quietly humming in the background, providing 700 sq ft of coverage that keeps the air in my home fresh and clean.Having two of these air purifiers working in tandem has made all the difference. I can breathe easier knowing that the air my family and I breathe is filtered to such a high standard. For any pet owners out there looking for a reliable air purifier that can handle the furry onslaught, I can’t recommend the HATHASPACE Smart Air Purifier enough – it’s a game-changer.

I didn’t expect much from this but it proved me wrong! I absolutely LOVE the light feature in the front! It changed colors according to the air quality ( and can be turned on for ambiance) I know I should have read the manual more than putting it together but I don’t have trouble sleeping.. lol. I noticed when cooking a meal like frying or searing where you get smoke the color would change to red and the you can tell by the numbers on the beautiful display how hard it’s working to clean the air! it will change to yellow then back to green when the air is clean. I noticed the air quality change within a few hours of setting it up and I love I don’t have to buy any filters! Just pop open the front, pop out the filter brush it off and pop it back in! catches alot of pet hair yet I don’t have to clean it often. Love it!

I bought two of these to help with the cat litter dust in my house and just regular dust. I love them. I actually replace the filters every 3 months compared to the recommended every 4 months. I find they work better that way. The noise level is very low. As to how it works for odor? That I don’t know. I don’t have any stinky stink going on in the house. :o) I can still burn scented candles and smell them. The filters do not remove that scent as the candles burn. Perhaps once the candles are extinguished the filters remove the scent faster? Either way, they did immediately clean the air and make it easier for me to breathe once I turned them on. So that right there is what I was looking for.
