Setting it up was a breeze; idiot proof. Makes life so much easier, remembering my weights and charting them or me.4.5 Year Update:——————This is the best scale you could ever wish for and the company behind the product was superb too; read on for the juicy details. This is a WiFi scale that uses the wireless connection to records your weight in the cloud and then, the cloud pushes the new data to your phone. This WiFi scale is much more convenient that the Bluetooth scales which require your phone to be close by so they can communicate with your phone to pass on the data. My router has been 2 floors away and in all these years, the scale has never had a problem connecting to it.The other thing I have enjoyed with this scale is its lack of need for attention. After setting it up, which I should say was effortless and with no surprises, I placed it on the bathroom floor and never had to lay hands on it, except to change the batteries once a year-ish. In fact, I hardly looked at the scale because I didn’t want to ruin the starting of my days; instead, I opened up the Apple Health app at lunch time! The scale’s app, Weight Gurus, integrates with Apple Health which in turn allows me to share my weight with other apps that need that info. The scale’s app can handle multiple weighings a day and shows a nice chart to help me visualize my journey. The scale can handle recognition of 8 users and unlimited guests. Each user installs the app on their device, sets up an account, chooses a profile (U1 … U8), and links the scale. In all these years, this scale never confused any of us for another.Unlike ancient scales that you had to wake them up by lifting them off the ground, this scale turns on as soon as you stand on it. It weighs you in seconds and informs you with a faint beep that you can move on; your phone will receive your weight within a second or two.A few weeks ago, I noticed the scale wasn’t lighting up when I stood on it which I thought was due to its batteries dying out; sadly it was not. I put new batteries in, sweet talked it, ignored it, and performed chest compressions on it but I couldn’t get it to turn on. I knew I needed a scale and I knew I wanted the exact same scale because of how well behaived it had been for all these years. Before buying the scale again, I dropped a one-liner via the Amazon order’s help to the seller/manufacturer. Within a few hours, I had a reply from the seller asking me to check the batteries to which I replied I had. The next message I received was asking about the type of the batteries to which I replied they were AmazonBasics. The final message was to inform me that they would ship me a new scale which arrived in 2 days! The scale had worked flawlessly for over 4.5 years and when there was a terminal problem, Greater Goods made it right. If you need a scale and like the finer things in life, in my view, this is the scale to buy.

Been using for almost a year. Good scale. Consistent measuring. Only issue is the wifi is a little spotty sometimes and requires multiple measures for it to upload. Also have to point away from the wall sometimes to get it to work

I was slightly worried purchasing this scale — some reviews were great, others complained of difficult to set up wifi connections. This was also my first attempt at a digital scale after leaving the world of crappy electronic scales for a good five years or more. We actually purchased a mechanical beam scale like those found in gyms or doctor’s offices. Well, we moved houses and the beast of a scale wouldn’t fit in the new place. So the search began… I was very worried about getting an electronic scale that had one of two common issues: the ability to make it say pretty much whatever you want by standing just so, and the scale that just gives you the previous reading unless there’s been a significant change, both drive me nuts. I am pleased to say that I have found this scale easy to setup, very accurate, and responds to small weight changes. As a bonus I no longer have to manually input my weight into my phone each day, which is nicer than I expected. I am connecting to an Apple AirPort Extreme router if anyone is wondering. It automatically found the band that it needed to connect to. It took my three attempts to get through the process, not that it was difficult to work with, it was more me learning how to do it. It’s pretty simple, but I can screw even simple things up. I’ve had it for a week now, and every day it has sent my weight to my app, so I’m a happy camper. My router is located in the basement and my master bathroom is located on the second floor, probably a worst case scenario… it connects just fine. The scale is much larger than other similar scales I’ve encountered in stores, which is a benefit to me, there’s not much worse than trying to get big feet in a small scale… all of the extra data I ignore, it cycles through your water weight and bone mass, blah, blah, blah, but I’m not especially interested in that.

So far so good. Just received the scale tonight, but I wanted to comment based on some of the negative reviews about the network configuration setup and the self proclaimed network administrators who couldn’t set it up.I have managed networks in the past, but not for many years. But I am the kind of tech geek who has 2 separate WiFi routers in the home, one for kids and one for parents. And they are both heavily customized. It took about 15 mins to configure the scale, including integrating with my Fitbit account. The integration was near real-time even though the Weight Guru app said it could take a couple hours the first time. It was synchronized before my watch did with the fitbit app on my phone. The setup: you have to download the app, I used Google Play on my Galaxy S7 edge. Then you press a button on the back of the scale and it enters into setup mode. Then follow phone app instructions, including choosing your home network and password (entered my WiFi pw incorrectly first time, shame on me), then in the phone app selecting a graphic displayed on the scale, which will ultimately lead you to opening the WiFi settings on your mobile device, then selecting the WiFi network of the “scale”. It goes through what I suspect is an authentication process from scale, through the phone and connects to your WiFi. Then in the Phone app, you select an integration which was as advertised. The app itself could be improved, the back button closes the app, but once you get the hang of it, works fine. Also displays Wt, BMI, water, bone density and Body Fat all as advertised. In testing, only displays weight unless you connect through the app.All in all very pleased for first night, much cheaper than fitbit scale. Will post an update I experience any issues.

So far I’m loving this scale! Our Fitbit aria just died and it was outside of warranty (1 year) so they couldn’t do anything for us. We love that this scale has a 5 year warranty! The problem with the aria is sometimes it would be stuck in a cycle of “step on scale, thinking, step off scale etc” and would take forever to show your weight. This weight guru scale shows your weight as soon as you step on it, which is what a scale should do lol.The wifi connectivity was QUICK. I have no idea what people are complaining about in some of these reviews. The company sent me an email as soon as they shipped the scale to let me know it was on its way. They also included a video with step by step instructions for set up, once it arrives. We got the scale, installed the batteries (included), open the app and synced the scale. The app tells you exactly what to do and it took maybe 2 mins, tops! The only thing I need to figure out is the different users. I am U1 and my husband is U2 but his weight synced to my profile; I’m sure it was operator error. I’m guessing I’ll need to have him install the app and sync to his own profile. I do wish the instructions mention this in more detail, they just go over how to set up your user profile but nothing about other user profiles. Not really a big deal though.I set up the app to sync with MyFitnessPal and my Fitbit profile and it wasn’t immediate, but it did sync to both of them just fine. Overall, I’m loving this scale and would def recommend it!

I’m super impressed! I bought the (Weight Gurus WiFi Smart Connected Body Fat Scale w/ Large Digital Backlit LCD) from Amazon on January 20, 2017 and have had the scale for 5 days. I bought the scale in a Lightning Deal for $13 off the regular $64.99 price. Easy WiFi setup. Every time I get on the scale it automatically records my weight, % Body Fat, % M Mass and % water on their phone app. I don’t need to do any data syncing myself and unlike Bluetooth scales, my phone doesn’t need to be within range. Within seconds of stepping off the scale, I get a message on my android phone with the information. I like this WiFi scale so much that now I am looking for a WiFi blood pressure monitor. The only thing I don’t like about the scale is I cannot use it on carpeting. It is more than 100 pounds low when I tried to use it on the same carpeting I used with my old scale. To get around this I put the Weight Guru on a 15 inch square floor tile sample. Now it slides easily under a chair in my dressing room (where it replaced my 40 year old scale. This scale has an ingenious feature in which you can set up the scale for a second person. You enter their information and as long as their weight is 10 pounds different from the 1st person’s weight it will recognize which person just stepped on the scale.

I have had this scale for 5 years. I love it so much that I was about to order the same scale again because mine seemed to be losing accuracy (everyone lost 10 lbs on the same day), but then it occurred to me that we had not changed the batteries in ages and that solved the problem. Since I’m not having to replace it, seemed like a good time to leave this review about how great it is.We have 5 years of weight tracking which is so motivating when it comes to weight loss. Once you set it up (which admittedly is a bit of a pain) everything is easy-peasy. Just step on, wait for the beep and the scale does the rest. It even knows who’s who and sends the data to the correct iPhone. One of my all-time favorite “smart home” purchases.

First, you DO need a smartphone or other mobile device that can run iOS 8 or higher (for Apple) to set up this scale. Once it’s set up, you can go straight to the web site online to view your data, but you can’t set it up on a computer. I bought this because my phone is OLD and with the Wifi I thought I would be okay, but I had to set it up by downloading the app to my husband’s phone, which was fine. We had to try a few times to get it set up correctly, but once that was done, it was effortless. My favorite feature is that the Weight Gurus app links directly to the my FitBit app and the My Fitness Pal app, (along with many others, those are just the two I use) so once setup is complete there’s nothing to input anywhere again. You just stand on the scale and it does the rest. It’s a great motivational tool to see your body fat and muscle mass numbers change day by day, and the app creates graphs to show your progress over time. Really fantastic. I used to have a body fat monitor scale that took all the same measurements, but then I would have to manually enter them into my own spreadsheet, and it was a hassle. This is easy, easy, easy.

This is the very first review of any product, I have left on Amazon.First of all, I am not a paid reviewer of this company nor did I receive a review sample from Greater Goods. Still, I am really impressed with the product. I ordered it via Amazon same day service and let me admit it is AWESOME !!!The scale is a breeze to setup, it literally took just 2 minutes to set everything up (including WiFi). Being a Software Engineer my self, I want things and especially Internet Of Things (IoT) to be working exactly like this (Plug n Play) , and this product is on Par !!! Good Job guys !!I was a bit reluctant on sync functionality with MyFitnessPal App but even that also works , not seamlessly though as I noticed that I have to open WeightFURUS app in order to initiate a sync (come on guys, write a service in app to run in background 🙂 ) , but its a HUGE convenience of not entering weight manually.Overall, I am totally satisfied with the features, price and ease of setup . 2 thumbs up to the guys and gals at Greater Goods , keep it up !!!

I wanted a scale that had Wifi and logged to Apple Health and Google Fit. (I use both.) My old dumbscale (purchased from a thrift store for a few dollars) was of dubious accuracy, especially after a recent doctor’s visit weight in didn’t jive. After looking around at Wifi scales on Amazon, they were all quite costly so I settled on this scale since it was only $80 and the reviews seemed good. Setup was easy (I used an iPhone) and just followed the instruction in the manual and then the app. It connected right up to my 2.4ghz AP at home and I stepped onto the scale. After several seconds, the scaled showed my stats and I checked the app the find the details there too. Switching over to Google Fit showed my new weight (Google Fit does not appear to support body fat or other measurements) so job done. The weight displayed matches closely what I was at the doctor’s office, so I’m happy.Don’t see the point of spending more for the FitBit or other scales Wifi scales. Also, while I haven’t needed it, but the support options for this scale along with the 5-year warranty seem great.
