I have had a couple of these fans. When my small (other brand) tower fan quit working, I knew that I wanted a a Honeywell Quietset to replace it. One of my favorite features is that a few seconds after you set your fan the control panel lights turn off. No harsh lights shining into your eyes at night. This truly is a quiet fan. It is nice to have different fan speed levels. The lowest speed and at times the next one up are ideal for sleeping. You can also put on the timer, so after you are sound asleep the fan will turn off.My only complaint is that the fan is very top heavy. It can be too easy to knock the fan over. The base is very lightweight and seems fragile. I had one break on my first Quietset fan, rendering the fan useless. Perhaps there is a way to make the bottom sturdier, heavier and thereby steadier. The Honeywell Quietset is a great fan. Moves air efficiently, takes up little space, no bright lights that stay on, timer to auto-shutoff, and whisper quiet. I highly recommend this fan.

good, lasts long time, not loud at all even on highest setting just a small noise. I love this for in my living room to get a good breeze feel

I have had a lifelong obsession with fans. I’ve always been hot-natured, plus the airflow and white noise are soothing for my anxiety. I have used this fan at least 8 hours every day for 5-1/2 years, and it is still blowing strong!I have used all kinds of box and oscillating fans, which can move a lot of air, but are bulky and usually loud. This tower fan is great for small spaces, and the sound is very pleasing and consistent for sleep with no rattles or whining. My only small complaint is that it is really hard to take it apart for cleaning – so this may not be a good fan for someone with severe allergies, especially if they have reduced mobility or dexterity. Wikihow has some decent directions, but not entirely accurate, and it is a real booger to get the casing apart! There are 7 screws in the back – 4 Phillips and 3 star-shaped. The back half of the casing clips into the front half (which is probably why the fan is so quiet – it doesn’t depend on just the screws to stay together). Someone with large hands might be able to squeeze the back half to release the clips, but I couldn’t. The only way I could separate the two parts was to lay the fan on its side with the seam facing up and gently press with my knee from the back half toward the front half. I did this 2-3 times down each side to pop the clips individually. Then there are 3 Phillips screws inside holding the blade cylinder in place. I gave the cylinder a good scrub in the sink with a skinny brush intended for cleaning drinking straws. I put a towel on the floor under the fan itself and cleaned it with Dawn Powerwash and a 1″ brush, taking care not to get the motor wet. It turned out great and was easy to put back together. I’m sure at some point I will break those clips during disassembly, but I’m fully prepared to buy another one of these fans when the time comes!

I don’t know how long it will last bc I don’t have good luck with fans but it’s really quiet and even on the lowest setting it cools the whole room really well and it rotates smoothly. It’s great! I hope it lasts me a while. It was also on sale which for me a fan that’s under $100 with good reviews is a steal to me.

These tower fans are sleek and keep the room cool. . . and a great price point. I have purchased three and been pleased, although the most recent one seems to make a bit more noise, kind of a rattling sound, than the other two. But it works just fine. I can’t imagine ever going back to one of those big square loud fans like my grandma had.

Most fans aren’t up to the job of replacing an a/c unit, but for me the Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room Tower Fan comes close. The tower design means near full-body air coverage and the oscillation feature means near whole-room coverage. The fan is powerful enough to be effective from a significant distance, and in typical summer heat in a moderate climate, as long as you are seated within oscillation range (approximately 90 degrees range), an a/c unit will be redundant with this fan. For those in scorching temperatures or with special needs for cooling, a/c is still probably needed however. For those who do already have a/c and are looking for a complement instead of a replacement, the fan can also help extend the power of your a/c unit, by blowing around the cool air put out by the a/c. Or you can use the fan during the cooler periods in the day, to give your a/c a break. The fan is beautifully designed, its tower shape takes up little space, and its sleek look suits modern decor very well. The fan comes with a remote and a timer feature and offers a wide range of speed/settings, including a white-noise option. It is quiet, and it’s easy to comfortably carry on a conversation or listen to music or watch a movie with the fan on.So far this year, the a/c has been out of use in my home completely!

This is a great fan for a the bedroom. It really pushes out a lot of cold air. It’s a great addition to air-conditioning if you have a roommate who likes to keep the AC a little bit warmer
