I am currently on day 2 of owning this thing so, really, consider this a first impressions review.Firstly, the main draw: The flip-up feature. This really is a game changer and was chief amongst my reasons to buy this particular oven. I am happy to report that this feature works very well and gains me back a good amount of countertop space. It fits like a GLOVE flipped away under my wall cabinets. If you have low hanging wall cabinets, however, you’d do well to take a measure before purchasing to ensure you have access to this feature. This is what sets it apart from other products IMO.Secondly: The power cord. Its bad. Specifically, when plugged in, the power cord extends straight out from the wall and I think the manufacturer absolutely, positively should have opted for a low profile plug-in, especially since this is designed to flip-up to stow away. This is a serious negative as you’re not able to place this in front of the power socket its plugged into without the front of the oven protruding past the countertop and nearly falling off. If you have a very small kitchen, take a moment to be sure you’ll have adequate room. Finally, the real test: Cooking. So far, I have only reheated refrigerated pizza and air-fried some cheese sticks. To that end, this thing is a beast. The controls were easy enough to figure out without needing the manual. It has a great pre-heat feature which only starts running the timer after it gets to temperature, which is FAST. When set to 450F, pre-heating was less than 2 minutes. I was impressed. The food came out exactly as I hoped. They aren’t kidding though, watch your food carefully when you first get it. Use the light. It can quickly burn your food if you’re not familiar with convection and don’t understand the lower cook times. My only other negative is theoretical: Cleaning. I don’t think it will be TOO difficult, as the bottom tray is easy to lift out, but if you DON’T clean regularly I can easily see crumbs and debris piling up in the back when the oven is flipped up. I think the solution is probably just being proactive with cleaning it. For the lazy, maybe avoid this one.Overall impressions are very very good and, at the time I’m writing this, I’m not mad at the $170 sale price either. Go, Ninja, Go.

This little guy is unreasonable. I was expecting a small table top oven. This isn’t that is magic. I did my first dish in it today. It was some roasted potatoes that I’ve baked in the oven many times. They’re a hit in our house. They came out crisis like fries sorts. I only sprayed them a bit and they were glistening. The flavor was on point. Also it took 20 minutes vs 40 when I roasted in the oven. I cannot believe how different this is. I love it. Now did I need 13 functions? No, did I need the smart feature also no. However I may discoverother ways to use those bells and whistles.

This thing is the bomb-diddly. I like my counter tops clean and clutter-free, and normal air fryers just take up too much space to leave out. This tip-up function is pure genius. You get a huge interior air fryer, toaster oven, or dehydrator that only takes up a fraction of its in-use size when in the upright position. The light didn’t work on the first one delivered, so it was returned and replaced. The packaging is very good, but the light bulb itself might be incandescent as opposed to a tougher and longer-lasting LED. I don’t really know, but it didn’t work. The controls on this are very intuitive, and the many functions are effective and easy to use. There are two LED panels on the face of the oven, and they both have large, easy-to-read numbers and letters. I love that there is a “target temp” and an “actual temp” reading. I also love that you can turn the light on inside at any time to see what’s going on in there without opening and letting all the heat out.The basket holds a ton of food, but you should keep whatever you put in there in a single layer. Still, it can cook 2 or 3 times what average air fryers can cook in a single go. The three heating elements evenly span the entire bottom, and we haven’t noticed any hot spots or had to carefully place bread to get an even toast. It just works, and it works well. You get an air fryer pan, a toast rack, and a very heavy, nonstick baking pan that can be used for anything from frying eggs to baking biscuits to cooking a steak. One thing to note is that the heavy pan must be removed from the oven if using either of the other two cooking pans because the heating elements are on the bottom and would be blocked by that.We haven’t had a chance to use the temperature probe yet, but it appears well-made. The little silicone rubber flap that covers the hole is not great; it’s hard to get closed properly and likes to come out at the slightest touch, but it’s not a big deal. The probe and cord wrap around a magnetic keeper that you can store on the oven itself, so you can find them when you need them.I think my favorite thing about this is that it flips up and out of the way when not in use. When you’re done cooking, the convection fan on the right side continues to run for about 15 minutes until it’s cooled enough to tip up. When it is cool enough, the display says “Flip”. The fan is very quiet, and unless you live in a monastery, you won’t even notice it’s running unless you get right up on it.There’s a crumb- and grease-catching tray at the bottom, which is easy to remove. We’ve wrapped it in aluminum foil, and that’s been working well. The manual says not to use any chemicals other than dish soap, and no scrubbing pads or anything other than a soft cloth. That’s not typically enough to fully clean (to my standards) the interior after grease from air frying has been baked on, so the flip function not only works well for reclaiming space but also to keep your guests from seeing a less-than-spotless oven.Bottom Line: I love this thing, and we use it all the time. We no longer need a toaster, a toaster oven, an air fryer, or a dehydrator. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s worth it. I hope this helps!

Great for speedThe settings are a little annoying at first but once you figure out how to switch every mode in the specific settings it’s great.Example: changing bagel time and darkness is not hard but not self explanation or which buttons to hit to adjust the settings. It us quick though and doesn’t stop the fan until it cools all the way down to a safe temp even after turning it off.

tons of settings for a large variety of foods, includes a recipe booklet. only down side is cleaning it, bc it sits up to save space the crumbs kinda get moved around a lot. but it’s not the end of the world. Definitely my fav appliance at the moment

One-stop shop for cooking stuff. Lot’s of options and settings to cook anything and everything that will fit in it! Replaces multiple appliances to save space on your counter. And oh ya, it flips up and saves even more space!

This is great if you want to save time and stress in the kitchen. I wait a couple of seconds for it to pre-heat and pop my food right in. Reduced my stress in the kitchen ; )

I’ve had an air fryer for years but saw this one and thought I would give it a try. I’ve made all kinds of things in it and love it way more than my basket air fryer.

From the reviews, I was really concerned that this might be impossible to clean, and issues with pooling grease and smoking oil would become the bane of my existence. Maybe that’s an issue mainly with air-frying fatty foods? I have mostly avoided air-frying, and have used the oven for baking cookies, cakes or casseroles; toasting bread; air-baking a huge 12-cup batch of granola (divided between the sear plate and Ninja’s casserole pan (purchased separately and highly recommended!); broiling vegetables or the cheese on top of a casserole; using fresh pizza mode to roast vegetables or to crisp up quinoa tossed in olive oil (I tried sear crisp mode, too, but fresh pizza mode works better because it heats both the top and bottom simultaneously); and air-frying some cabbage-leaf chips (with no oil). There was no smoking, and the oven still looks like new and has scarcely needed any cleaning.Drawbacks: The dehydration mode and rapid bake mode seem too impractical to use. Dehydrating one serving of food would take 8 hours. Rapid bake requires a long preheat that would nearly offset the shortened bake times. A 9×13 pan is slightly too big to fit in the oven. The listed product dimensions and promo photos don’t account for or show the space that needs to be left open to accommodate the swing radius behind the unit: the length of counter space needed to accommodate flipping is actually the unit’s length plus its height.Something else I didn’t realize beforehand is that finding bakeware that’s safe to use in toaster ovens can be difficult. Most manufacturers of glass and ceramic baking dishes (e.g., Pyrex, Libbey and Staub) say that their bakeware is NOT safe in toaster ovens, because it would be positioned too close to the heating element. Most silicone and some nonstick bakeware is rated only for temperatures below 450 degrees and isn’t suitable for broiling or roasting. I’ve had to buy a lot of new bakeware as a result. The benefits more than make up for it, though. The oven preheats in a minute flat! Being able to bake one cookie from frozen dough in a few minutes without wasting the energy and time to preheat the big range oven is a life-changer. Although the outside of the oven does get hot, it does not heat up my kitchen nearly as much as using the range oven. And now I don’t have to worry about the potential negative health effects of using my large gas oven in my small unventilated apartment.
