By far the Best Toaster Ever! It better live longer than me though! Build quality, materials, features, everything you know that other manufacturers don’t give a damn about anymore, has finally been put back into a product.I got so fed up with others breaking or just looking dreadful after a few months of usage because of bad materials, dreadful finishes or poorly thought-out designs and features. This is how all appliances should be made. Properly!

I had a Porsche Siemens, long slot toaster before this. Had it for SO many years (about 20!) and loved it. Or so I thought ….It hadn’t dawned on me that it never browned the whole piece of toast consistently. I had to take it up, turn it over and put it back in – this toasts consistently! It hadn’t dawned on me that countless times the toast used to come up not properly toasted, so I’d pop it back down to start the cycle again and wander away, just to come back to black, ruined toast as it had not toasted a bit more but the whole cycle again. The “A bit more” works! And it hadn’t dawned on me I was trying to avoid burning my face while trying to look into the slots before to see the toast and failing. This lets you look mid-cycle without disturbing the programme.Delighted with it. It’s quick, it’s very simple to use, it’s not gimmicky at all, and it’s very well constructed. Sure, you’re paying more, but you’re getting more. One final comment – I bought this £30 cheaper (so £89) from the Warehouse Deals as it was classed as open, with potential very light scuffing/etc. I think that’s a blanket statement they just apply as yes, this had brown packing tape to close the box, but inside it had never been opened and was brand new. Delighted!

Very cool with a button controlling rise and sink of the slice of bread. Another button allows you to burn more if needed.

What more do you need to know..? It makes perfect toast every time. We’ve had one of this same model for 8 years and the mechanism is still reliable, so now buying a second one for my parents!

Although the description for this toaster is that it is brushed stainless steel, it is actually brushed aluminium. It is a very nice finish, but it does not match the Sage Smart kettle, which is brushed stainless steel.I have returned this toaster and replaced it with the Sage Bit More toaster, which is brushed stainless steel and does match the Sage kettle.

I’d asked a question as I like to toast 2″ garlic slices and wanted to know if I could get them out easily. Now that I’ve bought one the answer is yes, just! Thank you for the replies. The toaster has very deep slots so you can even toast standard bread slices vertically if you want, but it also lifts quite high when finished so even those garlic slices can be picked out, but gingerly if it’s still hot.The slots for crumbs to fall into the crumb tray are narrow, so I wondered if that would mean it getting messy but I see that as it’s motorised there is little jarring to the toast when it’s finished so maybe fewer crumbs fall anyway. It’s very nicely made, has a quality finish, and I like the led lights that display the timer setting and it’s accurate so I’ve made a note of the best setting for different things. (Those lights provide a useful visual count-down too.) I haven’t found the buttons for crumpets or frozen especially useful, but the ‘bit more’ button and the ‘quick look’ seem a good idea. It beeps gently when finished too, and that’s quite handy. So overall I’d say it’s very good. The warranty is 2 years so as long as it doesn’t fail in 25 months I’ll be happy.
