The media could not be loaded. We’ve had this smart lock for over a year, relying mostly on the finger print sensor, and it still works like a charm.Installation: The installation is super easy and can be completed in just a few minutes with the clear instructions. Setup is also fairly intuitive and quick. No issues connecting to wifi and getting it set up and running great.Features: The finger print sensor works great and you can add multiple finger prints for different individuals (or for your right or left hand). It occasionally miss-reads your fingerprint (about 5-10% of the time), but when it does it gives a clear visual with a red light and then generally works the very next try. The capacitive buttons also work well, it we almost always use the fingerprint sensor since it works so quick and well. We’ve never had do use the backup key, but it’s good to have it there.Battery: The battery is great and I love that it’s rechargeable rather than always having to buy new ones (like some of our other locks). Recharging it can take a few hours, but we typically plug it in at night and it’s ready to be installed the next morning. The battery generally lasts us 4-5 months.Connectivity: We’ve had zero issues with connectivity. The setup was simple and it always keeps the connection. It’s been great to be able to check the lock status while away from home and lock or unlike the door remotely.Concerns/issues: The only issues we’ve had with the lock are verity small. Occasionally we’ll need to recalibrate the lock so that it opens and closes well and all the way. Recalibrating it is very quick and simple though. Also, the clear plastic on the face of the lock seems to be separating partially from the unit. There’s no physical issue with this and it hasn’t affected the operation of the lock, but you can visually see a change in the coloring of the lock face because of this.Overall, I love this lock and have already recommended it to many friends and family.

Bought this lock for my apartment building after our camera caught some guys trying to get in at 3 am. We need to allow the first set of doors to be open for mail carriers during the day, so I bought this in the hopes I could set a schedule to lock at 12am and unlock at 6am. You can and you can’t!For those of you hoping for scheduled locking/unlocking:- Set up scheduled “auto lock” for the times you want to ensure it’s automatically locking if someone comes in during that time frame. This does NOT mean it will unlock at the end time you specify.- Something to note: if you ask google/alexa/siri to unlock the lock, they will ask you for the pin you’ve set up per assistant. Why? Well, so that someone doesn’t shout into your house “Hey Alexa, open the front door” and she just lets them. That wouldn’t be very secure!- Using the Google assistant app, you add your unlock at X time routine and within that one routine, add an additional action that is the PIN number. When it runs, the assistant won’t show that it worked, but if you check the lock/eufy app, you’ll see it unlocked. As for the device, i’ve tested all the unlocking features from key to fingerprinting to code entry. The key pad is a little sensitive, but overall it works. The fastest entry is the fingerprinting. I love having the keys just in case the “smart” part craps out.I imagine if you have all the holes already in your door, install is a breeze. I didn’t, so that was fun but had nothing to do with the product itself. The instructions are very clear and each part is labeled via step number in their respective boxes, so it’s very hard to mess up.The Eufy app isn’t terrible, it seems to work pretty well. A couple of times it had trouble unlocking via wifi. Is it my wifi or the app? Not sure. You can set passcodes per person and it’ll record who entered the building in the app so it’s a nice way of keeping track.Design-wise, I was surprised at how sturdy the lock itself is. It’s hefty and definitely feels like it’s built to last. It’s also very sleek looking.Sure, it’s a little pricy but I’d rather feel safe than not and with this, I definitely feel safer.

If installing for family they need to ensure the door is latched at the bottom before unlocking deadbolt. I observed them trying to open door at the bottom to see if unlocked and then putting fingerprint which causes deadbolt to jam and wont open. They have to pull shut then fingerprint or code. I would like to see an option to buy another battery as a backup. Otherwise you need to find a time to charge battery—maybe overnight while all asleep. Build quality is nice and unlocks quickly. When you grant guest access to someone and it emails them, they can only use the app to unlock. App should allow them to register their own fingerprint. Otherwise I have to register their fingerprint as administrator. Nice that under one person you can register multiple finger prints—I tried five with no issue. The ability to schedule a code for say cleaning crew for certain days and times is nice— can’t schedule a particular date which would be good if you have a one time vendor coming in. You get 5 Keys, which is good because these are special keys that are not easy to duplicate—no bumping or picking this lock. The deadbolt strike reinforcement plate needs 3”+ screws to ensure it grips into door frame. I do wish you could configure unlocking alerts by user vs getting an alert for every unlock event. Need search feature on the security logs so you can see all events of certain type or by user. I paired this with Yale P5101N01 Navis Paddle Passage Lever (Push/Pull to Open), Hands-Free Opening – Push with Your Hip, Satin Nickel —not a perfect match but close in color. I do like they put thread locker on bolts to secure each side but suggest they also do the same for screws for back battery box. I like the silicon seal on both sides to seal out drafts and water. Very easy install. In Dallas 110 degree direct sunlight this lock functions fine, while very hot to put your thumb on the reader it works as expected. Really happy with this after severals months of use. I like the fact you can set the auto lock function time—I have found one minute to be best. This way if I remember I can manually lock and save battery, also if just stepping out to pickup package it will not lock right away. Great to be able to turn off for a party or set it to auto lock after the party automatically in case you forget! To lock right after leaving you just tap your thump/finger on outside and it locks.

I recently switched to the eufy Smart Lock from August, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. This smart lock offers a remarkable upgrade in both performance and user experience. The fingerprint feature on the eufy Smart Lock works like magic! It responds lightning-fast, granting access to my home with just a touch of my finger. The convenience and speed of this feature alone make it stand out from other smart locks I’ve used before. The accompanying app has been a pleasant surprise as well. It’s incredibly user-friendly and provides seamless control over the lock. Whether I’m granting access to guests or checking the lock’s status remotely, the app’s reliability has impressed me.Shortly after purchasing the eufy Smart Lock, I encountered a minor tech issue. However, the standout feature of my experience was the exceptional customer service provided by eufy. I had to reach out twice, and both times, the same attentive representative answered my call and even remembered our previous interaction. She handled the situation with utmost professionalism and courtesy. To my delight, eufy quickly shipped a free replacement, and to my astonishment, it arrived the very next day! Their swift response and proactive approach to resolving the issue reaffirmed my confidence in the brand. In conclusion, I highly recommend the eufy Smart Lock to anyone seeking a reliable and feature-packed smart lock. Its impressive fingerprint sensor and user-friendly app make it a standout performer. Moreover, eufy’s top-notch customer service sets a new standard for excellence in the industry. I am genuinely satisfied with my purchase and look forward to exploring more products from eufy in the future.Kudos to the eufy team for crafting an outstanding smart lock and delivering unparalleled customer support!

When I first received the box and opened it, I was immediately impressed by the high quality metal that the lock was made of. I then went to my door to switch out everything and ran into a few stumbling blocks, like when I put everything together screws and all, the plug came out on the inside, so I had to take everything apart, plug it back up, and screw everything back in again. Then I realized that the battery pack needed to be charged, so I had to go plug that in and charge it. Then I was having a few issues with the app, which I had to uninstall and install a few different times. At least setup was a breeze as long as you follow the step-by-step instructions and not try to skip anything. Another thing that I didn’t like, was how hard it is to get the battery cover off and on of the lock itself. After everything was hooked up and ready to go, Iike programming the lock with my phone, inputting my code and fingerprint, which was pretty easy and effortless. I begin testing it out and making sure everything worked. There were no issues when scanning my fingerprint, adding the code, using the app to lock and unlock the door, and pushing the button to lock the door from the outside. What I don’t like, is the fact that when you lock the door from the outside, you have to hold the lock button for a few seconds. It would be nice if you could just push it once and it locks. I would also like to input more than one code for different people. Other than that, this lock set is phenomenal! I don’t ever recall thinking this about a product before, but I think this one is underpriced for everything you get! The Wi-Fi is a big plus, to lock and unlock your door from anywhere for anyone. I also love the notifications of when the doors unlocked and locked. I also sent my daughter a link so she can have the same type of access I have, and she loves it! She especially likes the fact that when she has a lot of grocery bags in her hand, she doesn’t have to fumble with the key to unlock the door, she can just unlock the door with the app before she even gets out the car. I also like the really cool feature, of how the door can automatically lock, if you set it, when it’s closed. There has been a few different times when my daughter and myself has forgotten to lock the door. This is a must-have for anyone who appreciate quality and well made products!

This is a beautifully designed, precision built product with clear, easy to follow installation instructions.(NOTE) The battery pack is in a clear sack with a label noting that it ships with 30% charge and should immediately be charged to 100%. The battery pack has red and blue marker lights and may be charged with any USB type B charger. This may take several hours and MUST be done BEFORE installation. Reviewers complaining about short battery life may have failed to read this note and charge the battery pack.)Once charged and installed, my unit connected immediately with my Wi-Fi but I am still coaxing it to pair directly to my Motorola Edge+ via Bluetooth. When I instruct my phone to find new Bluetooth devices, it does not find the lock. I have reached out to customer support and will keep you apprised how this turns out. It operates perfectly from my phone via the Wi-Fi connection. The unit is easy to program and quickly learned both my and my wife’s codes and fingerprints.I will be installing a second unit on my property on the wife’s she shed, her quilting room. The instructions and the security app make clear this is easily done and both units may be controlled separately with their own codes if desired. I have already determined that the manual keys are NOT the same, and the keys to open the front door will NOT open the she shed.I recommend this product.

Although it has only been a few days since the lock was installed, everyone has been so impressed with the reader and the keypad functionality. The lock responds so much quicker than the old smart lock. The app for the lock is easy to use, providing easy setup and configuration of multiple users. It also allows for a lot of custom setup that other smart locks lack. The instructions are very well written and scanning QR codes will guide you thru the majority of the installation and configuration. This unit replaced an older Kwikset lock that still worked well except it began to drain the batteries to quickly.

Was t sure if it was going to work for my game room doer since it was a deadbolt to begin with. But I replaced the normal lock door and places the smart lock and it fit great.

I recently bought this lock after lengthy research as to its worthiness as a lock. After all, a smart lock can have lots of bells and whistles, but if it’s not actually a good lock, then why buy it?So far, we love it. The fingerprint feature is our favorite way to use it. We haven’t had any issues with it not recognizing our fingerprints, but we did do a quite thorough scan of our fingers when we set up our access, so maybe that helped. We also have eufy Cam Pro 2 security cameras that we love. The lock and the cameras can all be monitored and accessed via the Eufy Security app. It was easy to install, but don’t overtighten the bolts, and make sure to add it to your Eufy Security app after you install it and before you try to pair it to your phone’s Bluetooth. Once you add it to the app, it’ll pretty much automatically walk you through the set up easily and painlessly. The paperwork that comes with it says the battery is at least 30% charged, and to charge it fully right away. Mine appears to be almost fully charged right from the box, but I’ll charge it overnight just to make sure. You can lock/unlock the phone with the app from anywhere, or via fingerprint, or code, or the keys that come with it. They are specialized keys and they give you five. We used they keys a couple of times just to test them, but we won’t normally be using them, unless the battery goes dead. (If the battery goes dead and you don’t have your key, but you have a battery block with you, you can connect the block to the lock and then use your code, fingerprint, or app to unlock it…. Then charge the battery and you’re good to go for the next time.)The one complaint I have seen from other people is that, unlike another brand, it doesn’t have a sensor to confirm whether your door is actually truly closed. So if you dash out, then halfway to where you’re going you realize (or think) you didn’t lock the door and you remotely lock it…. But your door is open…. The app will confirm you locked the lock, but it won’t confirm that the door was actually shut when you locked it. But for us, that probability is nil, so it’s not a feature that we would miss.We currently have set up codes and fingerprints for ourselves, our kids, grandkids, and other family members. We actually set up two different fingerprints for ourselves, just because we could. It’s easy to add codes and fingerprints, and easy to delete them, too. So if you no longer want to give someone access, just open the app and delete them. Also, since names are assigned to the fingerprints/codes you can see who locked/unlocked in the app. You can, of course, use fake names if someone is concerned about that. It can also alert you when there are failed attempts to unlock it, like if an unauthorized person tried to enter a incorrect code.It also has an autolock feature and you can choose the amount of time it’ll wait before autolocking. We haven’t used that feature yet. There are more features and settings that I haven’t described here, and haven’t used yet.

Overall great, totally love! Stores fingerprints locally (not on the cloud) and once setup, will work even during an internet outage! (app on cell can’t communicate with lock while WiFi is down), but lock is fine (tested this specifically for a friend). When you line up finger properly, recognition is virtually instant (1/50) of a second… I write date on battery, every time I charge it, lasts 2 months for me… Crazy key blank, you will never find it locally, or get it cut (but you never ever need). They (Eufy) send 5 key blanks with lock. But I never take keys (other than the single car key for the car I drive). It also does a number code, (I never use, fingerprint part is top notch). Bought second one “used” from amazon (sold by Eufy/Anker). Was new, maybe an unused return? Everything was perfect, I opened a new one, this was identical. Anker great company (first bought cell batteries years ago) great product, superb app. (I do not bother integrating it with Alexa but read it does). Totally recommend this device! Two suggestions, turn of chime (it makes a chime noise on every lock/unlock event) if you want (from App). Turn on autolock ()great feature it locks after a minute or two (adjustable) if you do not turn around and “lock” it outside. I almost never turn around and “lock” it, the Autolock feature is SUPERB. House is NEVER unlocked. I now NEVER EVER get locked out, as I just touch a finger and poof it opens!Extras: When battery is low, it will say (in female voice) “Battery is low, please charge” when charging, lift UP (towards ceiling) on lock inside (top half), pull battery OUT of lock (remove totally, pull away from door) and any Micro USB cable (plug it right into battery, takes 4-6 hours to charge, red light when charging, turns blue when done). Charge lasts for two months. Nothing to find/get. Plug it in via an old (android) cell charger (standard micro USB) or you could unplug an Amazon FireTVstick and use that cable (same connector), or that kind of cable on a PC, Chromebook or Mac’s USB port. If door is not closed, it announces “door is jammed”. If door is left open (say bringing in groceries or furniture) is simply extends deadbolt after 3 minutes. Close deadbolt when done and close door and either it will autolock or you can flip lever. App keep meticulous notes on every event. You add users in app (must have smartphone and WiFi) and you initially add fingerprints using app (they are stored on device, you use app to guide you not a fingerprint sensor on cell). Very very slick, love it! Used to have to leave house with keys everytime (or leave door unlocked, say doing yardwork. Now never! single key for car if using car…P.S. first one was black, numbers OK to read on my porch (Specially at night) second one was silver, numbers almost impossible to read in daytime. I use fingerprint 99.999% of the time, so don’t care about numbers. Silver better if lock sits in sun, black heats up in sun faster.
